About The Program
Join Wing's 12-week paid summer internship! This is a hybrid, in-person program based in Palo Alto, CA, with start dates in May or June. Eligible candidates must be a current student enrolled in a degree program and intend to return to the program after the completion of the summer internship.
About The Role
Wing is looking for a Hardware Reliability Engineer Intern to join our Hardware Reliability team based in Palo Alto, CA. Our team evaluates the reliability and durability of our hardware, develops new tests, and performs failure analysis to constantly improve the robustness and reliability of our drone and ground infrastructure.
In This Role, You Will
Evaluate the durability of a hardware component, including developing tests, collecting and analyzing data, assessing failure modes, and recommending potential design improvements.
What You’ll Need
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, graduating between December 2026 and August 2027
Comfortable with hands-on work in a lab, such as hardware testing and failure inspection
Able to construct and follow a detailed hardware test plan
Familiarity with tools to acquire, log, and analyze data (e.g. temperature, force, current, voltage)
Ability to work independently to investigate issues and communicate findings to cross-functional teams
Completed an introductory statistics course or equivalent
Experience debugging, troubleshooting, or investigating hardware failures
Strong attention to detail

The US base salary range for this internship position is the salary range below + benefits. Wing’s salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.
Salary Range
$112,000—$117,000 USD
